The Major June Update! 6/5/2019

Hello Kenshin fans. 

Today we have some major news and updates for you all. So sit back and get ready for a bunch of news! 

First off, we want to thank you for your patience with us and the lack of consistent updates and content. When we set out to reboot our series we knew we were taking on a big challenge. All of the content we want to bring to you is going to take time and money to create and with that comes long periods of nothing. Once again we would like to thank you for your patience and understanding. The projects are beginning to take form and we will have things to release in the coming months. 

Now onto the main course of this update! 

G-Fest 2019!

As you may know from our previous announcements we will have a presence at this year’s G-Fest in Chicago during July 12th-14th. If you are going to be at this year’s G-Fest you will have the opportunity to hang out with some of the team members as well as having first dibs on some cool merchandise we have prepared.

 The major area we are participating at this year’s convention will be at the Artist Alley. Our lead concept artist Danielle Fey and I will be taking part in the Artist Alley and you can come to our table and chat for a bit as well as browse some cool exclusive merchandise from us. We are going to be selling T-shirts, posters, prints, and yes, a mini Kudajira (Wrath of the Hybrid Ver.) figure at the table! Check out the merch here:

Now that’s not all that we are going to be doing at G-Fest this year. We are also going to be hosting a small meet and greet throughout the whole weekend. It is during the meet and greet we will be selling the mini Kudajira Figures. So be sure to get there because it is first come, first serve. The time and location for the meet and greets will be announced closer to the convention as right now we want to make sure we get a good time scheduled and an easy place to meet up. 

Alright, G-Fest is taken care of now for some updates on our projects. 

The Comic Book

Last update we talked about the first comic book we are producing and we wanted to give you a bit more detail as to what the comic book will be about. 

The comic book is going to act as a prequel/side story that will tell the story of Kitamura (who was the big bad alien dude from Wrath of the Hybrid) and how we was raised, taught to lead, his path to becoming a tyrannical leader, how he met his queen, and his connection to Kudajira’s origins. 

Next we have our first animated series.

Kenshin Chaos (Working Title)

KC is aimed to have our original monster; Kudajira, fight off a bunch of familiar Kaiju you all know and love. It will be a semi-fan made series since it will involve pre established characters but we are writing an original story around it. The story will be about Kudajira being sucked into a different dimension and through this he will meet and fight a bunch of familiar Kaiju from around the genre. Lets just say he will fight our favorite “king of the monsters” and his friends, fight along the “pacific rim”, and deal with a giant ape if you get what we are saying. *WINK WINK*. 

These two projects we are currently hard at work on and we estimate a release of these two pieces of content early 2020. Stay tuned for updates regarding those.

Lastly, we will be hosting a livestream on our official YouTube channel to have a big Q&A as well as the first world wide official reveal of the new Kudajira design! We plan to host this stream the week before G-Fest. So mark your calendars and we hope to see you there.

We Say Goodbye to Chris Cuypers

Hello, Kenshin fans. We have some somber news for you. Today Chris Cuypers is announcing his departure from Kenshin Studios to pursue other endeavors. We are sad to see Chris leave as he was one of the founders of the Kenshin vision way back with Nico in 2013. Chris has left on good terms though and will always remain a great friend to us. Chris did want to say a few words before he leaves. “Hello, Kenshin fans. I know that this may come as a shock to you and honestly I am still coming to grips with this decision. I have been thinking about this for a couple months now and I have come to the realization that I need to move on to other opportunities in my personal life. I can’t juggle the content creating field and my other personal obligations. It has become to stressful and I can’t give both things the appropriate time they need. I am leaving on good terms though so no negative feeling here. Nico and I will remain great friends and I still am on good terms with the rest of the team....

Kudajira Reveal and G-Fest 2019 Reminder!

Hello Kenshin fans. This will be the last update before we head off to G-Fest this year. We had a couple of things we wanted to let you all know. First, another reminder for those who are attending this year’s G-Fest; we will have a presence at the Artist Alley selling some merchandise to help fund our projects. So if you are going, make sure to come on by and say hello. Second, if you saw our G-Fest hype livestream we did not too long ago we announced that we will be doing a bit of a re-branding for ourselves. We don’t feel that calling us “The Kenshin Series” fits with our image and how we are molding the group. So we have made the decision to call ourselves simply, Kenshin Studios. The MASSIVE Update! 11/1/2019 Hello Kenshin fans! This will probably be the biggest update yet. I know we have been quiet for the last couple of weeks but that is because we have been hard at work with all of our plans for the end of this year and for 2020. So in this update we have a lot of stuff to cover. So without further ado, let’s get into what you guys can enjoy now and coming soon! Changing Our Mindset on Making Content So when the Studio came together earlier this year we made a statement that we were moving away from “Fan made” style of content and wanted to go exclusively into “original” content. We still have the drive to make original content but this group was founded on fan made projects.
