Things are Changing

Hello Kenshin fans. This is going to be an interesting update for sure. We are going to cut right to the chase. Over the last year of our re-brand/rebirth of this group we started off very strong and had many dreams and goals for this studio. We were on this creative high during 2019’s G-Fest and we thought we were invincible. We quickly announced a lot of projects and plans without really thinking how we could actually achieve them. Over the last couple of months reality has hit us pretty hard. There were many obstacles that came our way that has made some of our original plans hard to do. Mainly is the amount of exposure we have and financial backing. Creating the kind of ambitious content we want to create does not come free and without the proper financial backing we can no longer achieve those goals (for now). This is why the group has had an intense inner reflection to figure out what we are going to do. Are we going to keep fighting the roadblocks that keep getting in our way of our creative ideas? Are we going to do another re-brand? What is our identity? Are we making original or fan made content? Should we just quit and leave it behind because nothing is working? After a long meeting we have come to a decision. Here is what we are doing moving forward into 2020.

SCALING BACK
First off, and the most important step we are taking is we have realized we wanted to go too big too fast. We set so many projects and plans that it was overwhelming and we could not achieve those deadlines. Due to time, money, and every team member's personal time and skill set. This is why we have decided to scale back our projects. We are going back to a simpler time when Nico and Chris made “Godzilla: World Apocalypse” back in 2013. Back when we were not focused on getting an audience, revenue stream, and overall just making it because we enjoy doing it as a hobby and not a job. We want to make things for the passion of the fan interests each of the members have. Not because we want to “make it big in the industry”. Yes eventually it would be nice to form an official studio company that we can do this as a career but right now that's just not on the table and we are not ready to go that big. So going forward we will be going back to just making fun Fan-Made content for the foreseeable future. We still would like to create original content but that requires the financial backing and resources we just don't have. Basically to sum it up, we are going back to making content for the heck of it and we don’t care how many views it gets.

PROJECTS
So with this new simplified direction where does that lead our projects? Well, a few things are being shelved until further notice. “Kenshin Chaos” is the first thing being shelved. We were really excited for this project but it is putting way too much pressure on the team and we are going to put it on hold until we maybe one day eventually get back to it. Now what about our latest release “Attack on Kaiju”? That project is still in our minds and we are excited to say we are still going to work on that series and development of Episode 2 will begin soon. In our last update we also mentioned our comic book “Project: Rion” is also being put on hold. That is remaining the same unfortunately.  With our bigger feature film projects, those are also being put on hold. Same goes for the remakes of Shoota-Man and Slam Raccoon. We are cleaning the slate to get re-focused on what we truly love to create and all these bigger projects was putting a strain and creating stress for each team member.
With all this said, you are probably asking; “Well then what are you guys working on if everything has been cancelled or put on hold? The main video series we want to create is simply called “Kudajira VS”. This will be a bi-weekly series (releases are subject to change). We just want to start making something to give you guys and this is the ticket. We are just going to have fun pitting our original monster against all kinds of other known Kaiju in Godzilla, Gamera, Ultraman, and other Kaiju material. It will be a random, crazy, chaotic series of monsters simply beating each other up (and let's face it, that's what we all want to see and love anyways).
Last thing regarding our projects. We love going to G-Fest and showing off a big release during the film festival. Ever since our first taste of showing content to a live audience back in 2015 with “Godzilla: Return of Spacegodzilla”, we love coming and presenting. To continue this, we had an idea that for every year we would come together as a group and release a big video for the film festival. For example, “Attack on Kaiju Episode 2”.

SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS
More things we are cutting back on is our social media platforms. We have way too many outlets that make it hard to keep focused for us and our viewers. So starting tomorrow; our Facebook, Twitter, Teespring, and Patreon pages will be shut down. The sites that will remain up will be our YouTube channel for our main content, our Discord page to continue to interact with our viewers, and this Blog you are reading right now. This will make it much more easy to follow us. You read the updates on our Blog, watch the content on YouTube, then discuss our Discord. Easy right?
One more thing we want to discuss in regards to social media. We are aware of the COPPA and FTC regulations coming to YouTube next year. We will not be moving or removing any videos as we believe we are relatively safe from any violations since we are such a small channel that makes $0. We will stay vigilant on this regardless just to be safe.

ENDING STATEMENT
We know to some of you this might be a depressing update but the studio just was not built nor was ready to be what we originally planned it to become. Back in 2013 when Nico and Chris partnered up; it was all about having fun creating fan made stories and sharing our passion. It was never for fame and fortune. At the end of the day, we believe this is what will make us happy and to continue to be inspired to keep making fun fan made content like the “Godzilla: Kenshin Trilogy”. In the end, we want to continue creating our fun silly fan made videos all because of this big guy!

Thank you all for your understanding and continued support.
