We Say Goodbye to Chris Cuypers

Image
Hello, Kenshin fans. We have some somber news for you. Today Chris Cuypers is announcing his departure from Kenshin Studios to pursue other endeavors. We are sad to see Chris leave as he was one of the founders of the Kenshin vision way back with Nico in 2013. Chris has left on good terms though and will always remain a great friend to us. Chris did want to say a few words before he leaves. “Hello, Kenshin fans. I know that this may come as a shock to you and honestly I am still coming to grips with this decision. I have been thinking about this for a couple months now and I have come to the realization that I need to move on to other opportunities in my personal life. I can’t juggle the content creating field and my other personal obligations. It has become to stressful and I can’t give both things the appropriate time they need. I am leaving on good terms though so no negative feeling here. Nico and I will remain great friends and I still am on good terms with the rest of the team....

Things are Changing

Hello Kenshin fans. This is going to be an interesting update for sure. We are going to cut right to the chase. Over the last year of our re-brand/rebirth of this group we started off very strong and had many dreams and goals for this studio. We were on this creative high during 2019’s G-Fest and we thought we were invincible. We quickly announced a lot of projects and plans without really thinking how we could actually achieve them. Over the last couple of months reality has hit us pretty hard. There were many obstacles that came our way that has made some of our original plans hard to do. Mainly is the amount of exposure we have and financial backing. Creating the kind of ambitious content we want to create does not come free and without the proper financial backing we can no longer achieve those goals (for now). This is why the group has had an intense inner reflection to figure out what we are going to do. Are we going to keep fighting the roadblocks that keep getting in our way of...

The MASSIVE Update! 11/1/2019 Hello Kenshin fans! This will probably be the biggest update yet. I know we have been quiet for the last couple of weeks but that is because we have been hard at work with all of our plans for the end of this year and for 2020. So in this update we have a lot of stuff to cover. So without further ado, let’s get into what you guys can enjoy now and coming soon! Changing Our Mindset on Making Content So when the Studio came together earlier this year we made a statement that we were moving away from “Fan made” style of content and wanted to go exclusively into “original” content. We still have the drive to make original content but this group was founded on fan made projects. We would like to keep a bit of that root in the studio so we have decided we are going to have two types of projects we create here. Original Content: Anything that obviously is our own creations and stories that we will sell commercially (like Kudajira). Fan-Made Content: This w...

Kenshin Studios Now Has a Web Shop! 8/1/2019

Image
Hello Kenshin fans! We got some exciting news for you. What better way to start the month of August with opening up a web shop. A lot of you asked us at G-Fest and online if we are going to sell merchandise online. Here is the answer. We have made a Teespring storefront to start selling some cool merch for you all. Right now we have two shirt designs in the store. These include the Kudajira face we sold at G-Fest but with the power of Teespring we can sell the “colored” version! We also have a shirt with the logo design so you can go out and represent! More items will be added and let us know what you will want to see or what you would want to buy. All of the sales will go into supporting and funding our future projects like “ Kenshin Chaos ” and our 1st comic book codenamed: “ Rion ”. As for selling our posters and prints we have a few options but that will still be later as we are researching the best place to sell the artwork that we sold at G-Fest this year. You can go t...

The New & Improved Kenshin Studios!

Image
Hello Kenshin fans. As some of you may know and have seen, we have changed and rebranded our image. We have decided to call our group simply; KENSHIN STUDIOS. This name we feel fits the direction we want to go in the future with projects. With that out of the way we just wanted to say a massive thanks to all of you who were at G-Fest 2019 that came to our table in the Artist Alley and supported us by buying our merchandise or just by asking us questions about the studio. We had a lot of fun and we have many ideas for next year’s G-Fest. More on that at a later time. Now that G-Fest is over and the team is back home, there is no time for rest. We are already gearing up for our comic book and first animated series to premiere next year. Things might get a bit quiet for the next couple of months but we wanted to share some smaller developments that we would like to happen this year. A couple of things would be having an official website. This blog post site is great and all, but ...

Kudajira Reveal and G-Fest 2019 Reminder!

Image
Hello Kenshin fans. This will be the last update before we head off to G-Fest this year. We had a couple of things we wanted to let you all know. First, another reminder for those who are attending this year’s G-Fest; we will have a presence at the Artist Alley selling some merchandise to help fund our projects. So if you are going, make sure to come on by and say hello. Second, if you saw our G-Fest hype livestream we did not too long ago we announced that we will be doing a bit of a re-branding for ourselves. We don’t feel that calling us “The Kenshin Series” fits with our image and how we are molding the group. So we have made the decision to call ourselves simply, Kenshin Studios. Short, sweet, and to the point. Below we do have a work in progress logo we are working with. Can you tell where the inspiration came from? Tell us in the comments if you know the answer. Third and final, we also said in our livestream that we are ready to show you the new design for Kudaj...

Image
Hello Kenshin fans.  Today we have some major news and updates for you all. So sit back and get ready for a bunch of news!  First off, we want to thank you for your patience with us and the lack of consistent updates and content. When we set out to reboot our series we knew we were taking on a big challenge. All of the content we want to bring to you is going to take time and money to create and with that comes long periods of nothing. Once again we would like to thank you for your patience and understanding. The projects are beginning to take form and we will have things to release in the coming months.  Now onto the main course of this update!  G-Fest 2019! As you may know from our previous announcements we will have a presence at this year’s G-Fest in Chicago during July 12th-14th. If you are going to be at this year’s G-Fest you will have the opportunity to hang out with some of the team members as well as having first dibs on some cool mercha...

Two Projects in the Works!

Image
Hello Kenshin fans. We wanted to give a quick update on what we have been up to. Two things are cooking in the Kenshin home. We have started pre-production on our first comic book and are in the very early stages of making our first animated series. Here are some details on these two projects! The Comic Book. The team is in pre-production of our very first comic book series. This will be a short series that will give some insight on the main villain of the series and a face you might remember from “Wrath of the Hybrid”. We are bringing Kitamura back and this time we are going to flesh out his backstory and tell the tale on how he became the tyrant he is. More details soon to come! The Animated Series We are in the early stages of setting up a spin-off/fun type of series that will show off Kudajira in all of his glory. You thought he was tough in “Wrath of the Hybrid”? You ain’t seen nothing yet! This series we have nicknamed “Kudajira VS”. The plan is to release a 12 episode seri...
